Statement

Within turning gears, cogs and winders,
Pendulums swing a hair’s breadth from
our peripheral vision.
We make and unmake, building
and demolishing as we go.
The world is motion and moments,
where Life reveals sights
To let us wonder what part of
the making or demolishing we are in.

A moment of moving objects. Are they just the sun’s fading spectrum reflected on a drifting cloud’s ragged texture behind an ash tree fixed to the turning earth? Or a communication of nature, layered precisely, to say something important?

Biography

Peter Bjerkelund began his artistic career as an illustrator, and gradually taught himself graphic design skills after his Bachelor of Fine Art from Mt. A, where he had learned to use a photographer’s eye, and think creatively. Presently, he creates graphic design for projects that inform or advertise, from children’s themes to corporate identities; chases music and the kernels of his own original projects. Peter joined Silverfish in 2001.
