This image is part of a series depicting people alone in nature. It’s about the attraction of solitude contrasting with the ache of loneliness. There is also the presence of the watcher, the witness, who is present with all of us, no matter how alone we think we are.

Biography

Monica Lacey is a multi-disciplinary artist from Prince Edward Island. She studied Photography and Textiles at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in Fredericton. Also a musician and an award- winning writer, Monica has shown her visual art in numerous group exhibitions in PEI, NB, and Quebec. She is honoured to have been invited to exhibit with SilverFish.
